The performer collects desires and fears from 100 people and weaves her own into it, resulting in an intimate and collective monologue. The public is challenged to distinguish: which are mine? Which are hers? And which belong to people I have never met? An investigation into the universal that inhabits the personal: how much of what I believe to be mine alone is, in reality, everyone’s?
La performer raccoglie desideri e paure da 100 persone e vi intreccia i propri, dando vita a un monologo intimo e collettivo. Chi ascolta è sfidatə a distinguere: quali sono le mie? Quali le sue? E quali appartengono a persone che non ho mai incontrato? Un’indagine sull’universale che abita il personale: quanto di ciò che credo solo mio è, in realtà, di tuttə?
Le bugie fanno male allo stomaco, 2025
Reflects on the silent weight of the secrets we hide, even from ourselvesə. Inspired by “One, No One and a Hundred Thousand” by Pirandello, the project collects the confessions of seven strangers, welcomed into the performer’s body as an act of trust and sharing. There is no scandal, but the subtle pain of adapting to what we must hold back, and the need to breathe, if only for a moment. After the lie, tenderness and care remain.
Riflette sul peso silenzioso dei segreti che nascondiamo, anche a noi stessə. Ispirato a “Uno, nessuno e centomila” di Pirandello, il progetto raccoglie le confessioni di sette sconosciutə, accolte nel corpo della performer come atto di fiducia e condivisione. Non c’è scandalo, ma il dolore sottile di adattarsi a ciò che dobbiamo trattenere, e il bisogno di respirare, anche solo per un attimo. Dopo la bugia, restano la tenerezza e la cura.
Walks, 2024 – ongoing
In Sign (Act I) , part of the Walks series, each fleeting encounter with the performer during a walk leaves a mark on her T-shirt. The garment becomes a visible trace of the transformation of ephemeral relationships into human exchanges, concrete evidence of a contact that, from casual, has become intentional.
In Sign (Act I) , parte della serie Walks , ogni incontro fugace con la performer durante una passeggiata lascia un segno sulla sua maglietta. L’indumento diventa traccia visibile della trasformazione di relazioni effimere in scambi umani, testimonianza concreta di un contatto che, da casuale, si è fatto intenzionale.
Piangere Amore, 2024 – ongoing
Piangere Amore is a participative project, born from the desire to spread the practice of self-love, following abuse and emotional violence.
The aim is to encourage the reconstruction of the destroyed self and to break the sense of guilt, by creating a widespread and interactive installation in the heart of Turin’s social life (San Salvario’s district).
The project consists of a Qrcode, where the artwork and some words on the subject are displayed, and a diary’s extract about the artist’s experience in an abusive relationship.
The setting is the bathroom, symbol par excellence of escape and shame: there we hide, we hate ourselves, we observe our reflection and we take refuge to cry in silence.
The public is invited to participate in spreading the positive message by posting on Instagram a selfie with the Qrcode with #piangereamore and the tag @raffaellistudio .
The selfie can be executed in two ways: by going to the artwork’s locations or by downloading the Qrcode and the extract.
The ultimate goal is to create a small social movement that encourages and talks about love and revival.
Piangere Amore è un progetto partecipativo, nato dal desiderio di diffondere la pratica dell’amore di sé, in seguito ad abusi e violenze emotive.
L’obiettivo è incoraggiare la ricostruzione del sé distrutto e scardinare il senso di colpa, realizzando un’installazione diffusa e interattiva nel cuore della vita sociale torinese (il quartiere di San Salvario).
Il progetto consiste in un Qrcode, dove sono esposti l’artwork e alcune parole sul tema, e l’estratto di un diario sull’esperienza dell’artista in una relazione abusiva.
Lo spazio installativo è il bagno, simbolo per eccellenza della fuga e della vergogna: lì ci nascondiamo, ci odiamo, osserviamo il nostro riflesso e scappiamo per piangere in silenzio.
Il pubblico è invitato a partecipare alla diffusione del messaggio positivo pubblicando su Instagram un selfie con il Qrcode, #piangereamore e il tag @raffaellistudio .
Il selfie può essere eseguito in due modi: andando nei locali che ospitano l’opera o scaricando il Qrcode e l’estratto.
Lo scopo è creare alla fine un piccolo movimento social che incoraggi e parli di amore e rinascita.
